3. send us an email Once we hear from you we'll send you a free "sponsor Me" pin.

4. Send an email to your friends and ask them to sponsor you. Your friends can sponsor you online using their VISA or MasterCard. When you arrive on the day of the walk, we will have a list ready for you. Bring the money that you have collected in person. Added together, your total will help qualify you for valuable incentives.

Dear Friends,
On Sunday, April 27, 2008 I will be walking in Taking Steps to End Violence Against Women and Children. This walkathon is a major fundraising event for 3 great agencies: The Rape Crisis Center of Central Massachusetts, YWCA/Daybreak, and Girls Incorporated of Worcester. Each of these agencies does incredible work with victims of violence and works within our community to prevent violence against women and children. I've decided to be part of this walk because I care about these issues and I want to make a difference. I hope you'll support me by sending a donation. You can send me a check or you can go the the event web site: www.takingsteps.org. If you make a donation through the web site, be sure to let them know that you're sponsoring me and your donation will be added to my pledge sheet. And, while you're in the neighborhood, check it out! Maybe I'll see you there!

Walk as a Team

You can organize a team from your workplace, faith community, neighborhood or organization. Each team needs a team captain - That person is you!! as team Captain, you are the contact person and responsible for organizing your team.

2. Download a pledge sheet (pdf) and make copies for your team members, or email us and request enough for your team. We'll send you a bunch of full-color pledge sheets that double as publicity posters that you can post in your office or organization.

3. Send us an email and sign up as a team captain. Each team will be announced during the opening ceremonies and team pictures will be taken. After you sign up we'll keep in touch with you as the walk gets closer.
